Key elements of the MotivApp method
Virtual reward points
Students collect reward points during the elaboration of the topic, rewarded by the teacher.
The equivalent of reward points in MotivApp is called coins! Students collect coins.
Based on its value, there are 3 types of reward points: bronze, silver, and gold.
Reward cards can be redeemed using reward points.
Virtual reward cards
The reward card contains the actual reward given to the students. It can only be redeemed using the same type of reward points.
The equivalent of reward cards in MotivApp is called ability (card)! Students can gain (redeem) abilities.
Reward cards redeemed by students can be activated at any time during the time of the topic, and by doing so they communicate their intent towards the teacher.
Real-life rewards
In order to activate a reward card, they have to be approved by the teacher, who handles the distribution of the rewards as well.
These predefined aids can have an impact on the learner’s grades and evaluation.

How does the creative reward system of MotivApp work?
1. Launching a topic
With the help of MotivApp, you can easily start motivating your students! After creating your groups, you can define and start any kinds of topics. There are active and closed topics in each group. Learners can be given reward points and reward cards for each topic. During topic launch, the teacher can define what kind of reward cards can be obtained by the students during the elaboration of the topic.
2. Distributing reward points
Reward points can be awarded to students for homeworks or completing some activities, class work, or any kind of performance not rewarded by a grade. This means that ongoing performance can be represented in the final evaluation!
3. Accepting the reward card
Students can choose their own strategy when redeeming their reward points. They can be exchanged, or they can be redeemed to gain a reward card, which is eligibile for activation. If the teacher approves the activated card, the student receives the reward.
